BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues is the global networking platform connecting international stakeholders from research, business, and politics in the field of innovative water management. You can still register for the next online conference on 22 November 2022.
With this year's focus on Artificial Intelligence: Reshaping the Water Industry the BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues on 22 November 2022, will deal with an internationally highly relevant topic. The Keynote Speakers are confirmed, and the program is ready: The online conference, organized in Berlin and held in English, brings together stakeholders from research, business, and politics in the field of innovative water management to discuss future issues of the global water sector. The BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues are supported by the Export Initiative for Environmental Protection − GreenTech "Made in Germany" of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises (SenWEB).
In just over ten years, the BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues conference series has established itself as the leading global forum for the water sector. Since 2021, the conference has been held virtually, giving interested audiences worldwide the opportunity to participate, discuss and network.
Stefan Tidow, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) will open the online conference with a welcoming speech and high-ranking experts are going to participate and share their expertise during the event. Sella Nevo, Google Flood Forecasting Initiative, Nicolas Zimmer, Berlin Technology Foundation, Prof. Dr. Andrea Cominola, Einstein Center Digital Future at Technical University of Berlin, Dr. Riccardo Taormina, Delft University of Technology and Newsha Ajami, PhD, Berkeley Lab's Earth & Environmental Sciences, are confirmed as keynote speakers. Numerous German and international representatives from the business and the public sector, politics and science will highlight the opportunities that AI applications provide for the global water sector and discuss how the water industry is changing due to implementing AI.
Furthermore, they are going to shed light on the possibilities of hydro informatics and look at the important topics of cyber security as well as strengthening climate resilience through AI.
Conference participants will also gain exciting insights into innovative application examples, projects and technologies from Germany, Spain, the USA, the Netherlands, and the UK. In-depth break-out sessions will stimulate discussions on the topics of data quantity and quality as well as opportunities and challenges in the implementation of AI applications in water management. The multimedia online event platform also enables international networking through a variety of interaction options before, during and after the event.
The digital event is aimed at an international audience, will be held in English and is free of charge for participants.
