SED 2009 - Quality not quantity
Aug 20, 2009
Quality not quantity was the order of the day at the recent SED held at Rockingham Speedway over 12 to 14 May. TT-UK's new stand location 146 Avenue C/P was larger than previous years with TT-UK demonstrating a wide range of Trenchless Technology equipment as well as related Winching and Suction excavation now commonly used on minimal dig cable and pipe installation projects.
Scottish & Southern have been so impressed with the performance of the GRUNDODRILL 4X, they have gone on to purchase the new exhibition model on display at the exhibition.
The new GRUNDOBURST Constant Pull CP1250 was also on working display. As well as pipe bursting this technically advanced machine was designed for relining and especially swage-lining methods, as it pulls constantly without interruption. This means that, instead of the usual 2 cylinders there are 4 cylinders set-up sequentially in the 1250CP. While the front cylinders are transporting the QuickLock bursting rods, the rear cylinders drive in the opposite direction to keep the rod transportation moving efficiently with minimal pipe installation delay.
The innovative GRUNDOBURST with the unique QuickLock (Ladder type rod) is definitely one to watch out for in the future. Increased productivity, performance for longer and larger online pipe replacement projects.
Despite the reduced attendance due to the economic downturn from 20,050 to 12,470, TT-UK’s Sales Staff commented that as at previous SED’s many loyal customers visited the stand for new product updates and to discuss future utility contracts and their product requirements, to include GRUNDOMAT soil displacement hammers and for the larger pipes accurately steered auger bore installations using TT-UK’s new GRUNDOBORE 200 and 400 models.
