TT-UK/TT Ireland’s Customer’s get VIP "Hands on Experience" in Germany
Dec 01, 2014
For 4 days In September TT-UK/TT Ireland accompanied 30 of their valued customers and overseas sales partners to the 10th Annual ‘Hands on Days’ event at Tracto-Technik in Lennestadt, Germany.
A really popular part of the visit was a tour of TRACTO TEHNIK’S manufacturing facilities where TT-UK/TT Ireland’s visitors were able to see first-hand the equipment being made through all stages of manufacture. As a direct result of the factory tour alone 100% of TT-UK’s visitors said they had gained a better understanding of TT’s products, 100% said that it had directly influenced their purchasing decisions and as a result 100% said they would be more likely to purchase TT products in the future. After the factory tour, the VIP visitors also had the opportunity to operate the equipment themselves at the purpose built test site adjacent to the HDD assembly plant.
In the evening together with other TT visitors from around the world they enjoyed an evening’s get together and entertainment at the Sauerland Pyramids at Galileo Park (right) the geothermal energy park which is the brainchild of the company’s chairman Wolfgang Schmidt. The pyramids are the basis of an innovative energy concept to utilise geothermal energy for heating and cooling purposes.
The whole event was held over two weeks in order to incorporate over 700 visitors from all over the world and included informative lectures and presentations on all TT products from GRUNDOMAT moling, GRUNDORAM pipe ramming and GRUNDOBURST pipe bursting to keyhole technology, suction excavation, auger boring, GRD geothermal boring and GRUNDODRILL HDD all ground condition drilling amongst others. These inspiring lectures also covered additional subjects such as different applications, planning & methodology as well as finance options.
Chris Ehlers of Reef Technology South Africa said "We wish to sincerely thank all at TT-UK /TT Ireland and Tracto-Technik from the bottom of our hearts for inviting us to the Hands on Days and for their kind hospitality, friendliness, care and professionalism, we were very well catered for and looked after - A very Big Thank You."
David Toms, Managing Director of TT-UK/TT Ireland added "This is a unique event within the Industry where our valued customers can really get a feel for TT’s high quality products close-up and hands on. By inviting them along as VIP guests, it is our way of sharing the most up to date product information and technology available to our thriving industry."
